HI THANKS FOR LOOKING AT THIS CARB!
NOW I HAVE BEEN IN THE MOTORCYCLE BUSINESS FOR MORE THAN 30 YEARS AND I KNOW WHAT KIND OF CRAP THERE IS OUT THERE FOR AFTERMARKET CARBS,,,
LEARNED THAT THE HARD WAY MANY YEARS AGO,, ):
ANYWAY THESE SHENG WEY CARBS MAY COST MORE THAN SOME YOU WILL FIND ON EBAY AND AROUND, BUT,, I HAVE INSTALLED MANY OF THESE AND AFTER WORKING ON 1000'S OF OEM HONDA KEIHIN CARBS,, MUST SAY THESE ARE 99% THE SAME QUALITY AND RUNABILITY AS THE KEIHIN ARE..
I TOOK ONE OF THESE AS YOU CAN SEE IN THE 2ND PICTURE ALL APART SO YOU CAN SEE THE QUALITY PARTS. IT DOES HAVE THE DISK TYPE FILTER SCREEN BEHIND THE PETCOCK,, AND THE END OF THE TOPSET DOES HAVE THE BRASS CABLE ADJUSTER NUT (NOT TO EASY TO SEE EITHER OF THESE 2 ITEMS)
THIS CARB WILL REPLACE THE STOCK CARB ON THE 1980 AND 1981 PASSPORTS AS A DIRECT REPLACEMENT
IT WILL NEED SOME MODIFICATIONS TO WORK ON THE 1982 AND 1983. BELOW IS WHAT SOME GOOD CUSTOMER HAD TO SAY , AFTER THEY INSTALLED THIS CARB ON THEIR 82/83 PASSPORTS

Just a note about the new carb I bought from you for my passport. With the new carb it has never run so good, all my idle problems are solved. The old one would just not adjust correct , even after many cleanings.
Install notes-- FYI
On the newer style air filters (1982-1983) you have to cut off the choke cable bracket so the carb will fit under the air box.
Then you can reach thru the hole in the leg shield and hold the choke on, or-
You can drill two small holes in the outside edge of the air box. One on top- one on bottom, and route the choke cable THRU the air box next to the filter inside. The cable runs thru at about a 45degree angle. There is enough friction on the cable passing thru the holes that no other cable holder is needed. The choke cable now can be attached to the choke and works fine.
Also the carb top (screw cap) from the old carb is needed in order to use the existing throttle cable. The new carb has a longer flange on top and requires a longer cable.
Also if you did not already know- Krylon "Banner Red" is a perfect match for the older Honda red.
Thanks.

Hi, I have a 1983 honda c70 and have successfully installed a 80-81 carb. I would just like to add to what the customer, Mr. Cotton said. Instead of cutting the choke cable or drilling holes, you can always replace the 80-81 carb by exchanging the choke brackets. In other words, unscrew the choke bracket from the stock 82-83 bracket and replace the new 80-81 carb with the 82-83 bracket; remember to also keep the old screw cap. This modification is guranteed to work; no cutting cables or drilling holes of any sort. Thank You www.dratv.com for supplying the carburator,

I got all the parts. They are perfect for my '83 C70 Passport. The Carb is perfect and works awesome right out of the box. I did have to swap choke arms so the old cable would be routed the same and move the fuel lines since the new carb's fuel selector is on the right instead of the left, but it was worth the time to have a perfectly running C70!
Thanks,
Chris

Hi,
Received my c70 Sheng Wey carb and is everything as you described. Have tried cheap Chinese carbs before for lawnmowers etc and had sent the crap back. This is why I so related to your description of this carb. The quality is as described. Installed it on my 81 passport and runs like new.
Thanks ! !

Beatrice,
Rec'd the new Carb this afternoon. As promised, it is a
direct bolt-on for my 1981 Passport. After installing
the Carb the bike started with one kick. Runs better and
gets right up to it's blistering top speed of 40 mph
faster. To hell with high gas prices, I've got 100 MPG!
Even though I look totally ridiculous riding this little thing.
Thanks for the prompt service.
Tom
