@ 12V_or_6V CT70 REGULATOR RECTIFIER_PIGTAIL  CLICK FOR_INSTRUCTIONS (SUB_W_12/12/6/6) (S1255)

YOU CAN USE A 12V REG/REC & BATTERY WITH THIS COMBINATION (MUST CHANGE ALL LIGHTS).... OR USE THE 6V REG/REC AND USE THE STOCK BATTERY AND LIGHTS....PIC SHOWS 12V... BUT JUST LEAVE THE STOCK BATTERY IN FOR 6 VOLT

NOTE!! the yellow wire coming out of the reg/rec never has it's own power,,

it just "T's" into the yellow wire that comes from the engine's stator wire, that then goes to the headlight dimmer switch.

it takes excess voltage and delivers it back to ground. thus the regulator part of the regulator/rectifier.

WITH THIS REGULATOR RECTIFIER YOUR BATTERY WILL STAY CHARGED MUCH MUCH BETTER THAT WITH THE ORIGINAL HONDA 6 VOLT SYSTEM,, AND THE HEAD LIGHT IS MUCH BRIGHTER TOO, AS THERE IS PLENTY OF JUICE EVEN AT IDLE WITH THE NEW TYPE STATOR THAT THE CLONES HAVE.

THIS ONE ITEM CONTROLS THE HEADLIGHT VOLTAGE (AC 6 VOLTS) TO KEEP THE HEADLIGHT FROM BURNING OUT,, AND IT GIVES THE BATTERY PLENTY OF 6 VOLT DC TO KEEP IT FULLY CHARGED AT ALL TIMES..

Click to enlargemore clarification for the yellow wireit gets "T"ed into the yellow wire in the picture of our sub wire harness you have.

it just sucks out extra AC voltage and sends it to ground, keep the yellow circuit going from engine to the main wire harness as is just "T" into it with the yellow wire from the short pig tail from the regulator/rectifier

remember the yellow circuit is AC power and runs the headlight
