Tech Day 2008 was a great success. I was so busy fetching that I missed many of the sessions. It is difficult to thank everyone involved in the day...... Mel, David and Don for their sessions. The secret session was a really cool (but hot) exhaust repair by David and his welder. Mel did two sets of forks and Don laced one of my wheels that I then donated to James. The junk pile was very popular this year. Several items barely hit the ground and were gone. Thanks to Tony, Jay and others for video work. Steve for registration. Allan for vin verifications. Ross spent the day fixing bikes for Rick, Kelly and he assembled the rat motor for Tony this afternoon too! Soon we will hear the rat motor sing. This is a general thanks because I know I missed someone. Oh....my daughter Maritte for helping and making coffee and store runs....... The raffle was fabulous! Jack at Dratv.com donated $1,700 of great items that filled a very large table and then Jay, Ross Desert Todd, Rick and many others donated too. BTW....I found the big bore kit in the bottom of the box with the wrapping paper today so it will be saved till next year's raffle. Our artist David make the sponsor sign and I hope Jack will post some Tech Day pictures on his site. Nate was giving out valve adjustment tape to anyone that would take it. I did get to take apart one of my suitcase cycles. Wait till you see the pictures, it looked like a motorcycle accident. The day was so busy Mel and I didn't realize we forgot the tune session till today. Long distance award was Cory from Washington State. I hope everyone had a nice time and learned from the event.
