THE PISTON KIT:

(ONLY ONE INCLUDED) THIS PISTON LOOKS JUST LIKE THE STOCK PISTON WHICH HAS THE LONG SKIRT.. I BELIEVE THIS WILL GIVE A BIT LONGER LIFE SPAN.

THE RINGS WITH THESE KITS ARE MARKED R1 AND R2 FOR THE TOP AND 2ND RING, THEN THE NEW TYPE 3 PART OIL RING. THE NUMBERS FACE UP ON THE TOP 2 RINGS.

THE TOP RINGS ARE .97MM THIN RINGS FOR BETTER BREAK-IN AND LESS FRICTION.

OK WITH THE 53.50MM KIT YOU WILL STILL HAVE THE ROOM TO RE-BORE ONE MORE TIME , TO ONE OF OUR 54MM PISTON KITS. (UNLESS WE HAVE TO GO TO THE 54MM TO CLEAN YOU UP)

BUT IF YOU GO TO THE 54.00MM WHEN YOU HAVE TO BE REWORKED YOU ARE UP A YOU KNOW WHAT CREEK. BUT THERE WILL ALWAYS BE PLENTY OF USED 90 CYLINDERS AROUND. RIGHT ??

SO IN CONCLUSION WITH THIS $99.99 LISTING YOU GET YOUR CYLINDER BORED,, ONE NEW PISTON KIT.

TURN-AROUND IS USUALLY AROUND 2 TO 5 WORKING DAYS FROM WHEN WE GET IT.

*** NOTE !!!!!!!!!!!!

DUE TO WEAR ON ROD, CRANK, DIFFERENT CYLINDER DECK TO DECK MEASUREMENT, AND OTHER VARIANCES,,,,

"SOME_TIMES" THE PISTON DOME WILL JUST BARELY HIT THE HEAD'S DOME.

TO TEST FOR THIS SYNDROME JUST START THE NORMAL REBUILDING PROCESS BY :

1. PUTTING THE PISTON WITH RINGS ON THE ROD

2. THEN SLIDE THE CLEAN OILED CYLINDER IN PLACE WITH BOTH

THE RUBBER AND PAPER BASE GASKETS AND 2 GUIDE PINS IN PLACE.

3. NOW WITH NO HEAD GASKET AT ALL IN PLACE SLIDE THE HEAD

DOWN WITH THE 2 UPPER GUIDE PINS IN PLACE OVER THE CYLINDER.

4. NEXT PUT A SCREW DRIVER THROUGH THE CAM CHAIN AND INTO

THE CAM HOLE OF THE HEAD TO KEEP THE CHAIN FROM BALLING UP

AT THE CRANK SPROCKET DOWN BELOW.

5. THEN PUT THE TOP HEAD COVER ON AND TORQUE THE HEAD NUTS DOWN TO NORMAL SPEC.

6. NOW THE TEST, TURN THE CRANK OVER SLOW WITH A WRENCH ON

THE FLYWHEEL NUT. IF THE PISTON DON'T HIT THE HEAD THEN

ADD THE HEAD GASKETS AND RESUME THE REBUILD.

7. IF IT DOES HIT, THEN ADD THE INCLUDED 2ND PAPER BASE

GASKET,, NOW ADD THE HEAD GASKETS AND REPEAT THE TEST.
